Kitchen Assistant Location: Northern Suburbs, close to Joondalup, Perth Type: Five Days from Wednesday to Sunday 10 AM - 8 PM . Apply only if you can commit five days. We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Chilli Farms. This role supports the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, packing, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards. We are looking for someone passionate about food who takes pride in a well-organised workspace and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Support the kitchen by chopping, dicing, and preparing fresh ingredients such as vegetables, herbs, and meats, ensuring portion sizes and quality standards are met. Packaging: Assist with packing frozen meals, sauces, and takeaway items, adhering to quality and portion guidelines. Cleaning and Sanitising: Maintain kitchen cleanliness by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils, in line with health and safety standards. Assist with washing dishes as required. Inventory Support: Help organise and rotate stock, ensuring ingredients are labelled, stored properly, and easily accessible. Customer Service: Occasionally engage with customers for packaging orders or simple inquiries, offering a friendly and welcoming attitude. Supporting Food Safety Standards: Follow health and safety protocols, including allergen awareness and safe food handling. Skills and Qualifications: Prior Kitchen Experience: Experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is beneficial but not essential. Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely, maintaining high cleanliness and quality standards. Communication Skills: Comfortable interacting with team members and occasionally with customers. Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for extended periods and managing physical tasks, such as carrying kitchen equipment and lifting stock. Flexibility: Willing to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
