About the Role: You will take charge of a diverse range of Financial Lines products, playing a crucial role in crafting the strategy and maximising the performance of this dynamic portfolio. Reporting directly to the Head of Customer Acquisition & Product, you will proactively seek out growth opportunities, refine quote and conversion rates, and spearhead initiatives that boost product performance and profitability. This position seamlessly integrates product leadership with commercial accountability, making it an ideal fit for someone with robust Financial Lines expertise, strategic vision, and a proven ability to drive end-to-end delivery through cross-functional teams. Location- Our ideal candidate would be based in Sydney, but we’re open to considering candidates located interstate within Australia. Requirements Role & Responsibilities:  Product Ownership & Delivery Lead a portfolio of Financial Lines products with a focus on quote rate, conversion, and profitable growth. Own key insurer relationships, identifying opportunities to improve product competitiveness and expand appetite. Responsible for ongoing product maintenance, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational alignment across all active policies. Accountability for end-to-end product delivery, including scoping, documentation, testing, and release. Use data insights and industry knowledge and market feedback to inform product improvements and strategic direction. Monitor product performance, report on commercial outcomes, and make recommendations for change.    Stakeholder & Team Leadership ·Support the Head of Customer Acquisition & Product in driving team planning, prioritisation, and cross-functional alignment. Collaborate closely with technology, analytics, and operations to deliver enhancements that lift conversion and performance. Provide guidance and project oversight to junior team members, contributing to a culture of learning and execution.   Compliance & Documentation Partner with Risk & Compliance to ensure underwriting guidelines and binder requirements are met across insurers. Develop and maintain accurate process documentation and training material to support scale and audit-readiness. Support internal QA, insurer audits, and operational alignment across systems and processes. Your experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience specialising in Financial Lines insurance products, either in a broking or underwriting capacity. Deep understanding of product structures, insurer appetites, and market dynamics. Proven ability to drive product performance through data-led decision making, commercial insight, and strategic delivery Experience leading or mentoring within teams. Confident engaging with stakeholders across technical, operational, and insurer channels. Excellent time management and ability to manage competing priorities. A passion for detail, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with tech delivery processes and product lifecycle systems.
