Duties & responsibilities: ● Craft high-quality grilled steaks and Middle Eastern cuisines with precision, adhering to halal food handling and cooking techniques. ● Plan menus to develop innovative recipes, estimate food and labor costs, and ensure compliance with dietary requirements and food safety standards. ● Provide exceptional customer service and personalized product recommendations. ● Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including HACCP principles. ● Monitor dish quality throughout preparation and presentation, addressing any issues with relevant team members. ● Manage inventory, food storage, rotation, and labeling to maintain freshness and quality. ● Ensure prep stations are adequately stocked. ● Demonstrate an exceptional ability to run the pass smoothly and efficiently during service. ● Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen environment. ● Assist in the selection, training, and supervision of kitchen staff, providing guidance on techniques and cost-effective management of resources. Minimum Requirements: ● Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant or similar dining environment (Grill House) ● Experience of cooking high-quality steaks is required, and knowledge of Middle-Eastern cuisine is preferred. ● Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery is required. ● Excellent understanding of HACCP principles/food safety ● Previous experience in a value-added shop is desirable. ● Strong organizational and planning skills. ● Professional grooming standards and uniform compliance required. ● Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently within a small team. ● Strong work ethic with a cooperative and pleasant nature, reliable, and punctual ● Carry out duties as directed by the Manager/Owner.
