Infrastructure Analyst

Role Overview:
As an Analyst in our Infrastructure Investment team, you will provide critical support across the investment lifecycle, including research, analysis, and portfolio monitoring. You will work closely with senior members of the team to build financial models, conduct due diligence and support deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis and Due Diligence
Assist in evaluating new infrastructure investment opportunities, including performing financial modelling, sensitivity analysis, and scenario analysis
Support senior team members in conducting thorough due diligence, including financial, operational, legal, and regulatory reviews
Research and analyse market trends, industry developments, and macroeconomic factors that may impact investment performance
Assist in preparation of investment memos, presentations, and reports to support decision-making processes
Coordinate with external advisors to gather key due diligence inputs
Financial Modelling and Valuation
Assist in building and updating complex financial models (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, comparable company analysis) to evaluate potential investments and asset performance
Analyse and forecast cash flows, capital structure, and returns for infrastructure assets
Conduct sensitivity analyses and stress testing to assess risks and returns under different assumptions
Deal Execution and Documentation
Provide support during the deal execution process, including documentation and coordination with advisors (legal, tax, etc.)
Help manage the execution process, from term sheet to closing, ensuring all milestones are met on time
Provide support in the consultant procurement process. Including evaluation of technical, legal, and commercial consultants for project delivery
Portfolio Management and Monitoring
Assist in the ongoing monitoring and performance tracking of portfolio assets
Support the team in developing value creation plans and identifying opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, or revenue growth
Prepare quarterly and annual portfolio performance reports for investors
Investor Relations
Support the preparation of investor presentations, quarterly updates, and annual reports
Support potential fundraising activities including preparation of marketing materials, dataroom and investor due diligence questionnaires/RFPs
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
Working towards additional relevant certifications (CFA, CAIA) is a plus
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in infrastructure investments or development, private equity, investment banking, or management consulting
Strong financial modelling skills and experience with valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, comps, precedent transactions)
Previous experience working on infrastructure transactions (e.g., energy, transportation, utilities, telecom) is highly desirable
Knowledge of the regulatory and macroeconomic environment for infrastructure investments is a plus
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and complex models
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and explain complex ideas clearly and concisely
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
