Position Overview: As a Heavy Rigid Driver for Concrete Truck, you will be responsible for driving and operating a heavy rigid truck equipped with a concrete mixer. Your primary duties will include transporting concrete to various job sites, ensuring the safe delivery and unloading of concrete, and maintaining the truck in optimal working condition. Key Responsibilities: Operate the heavy rigid concrete truck safely and in compliance with road and traffic regulations. Transport ready-mix concrete to construction sites and ensure timely deliveries as per the schedule. Unload concrete at designated delivery sites, ensuring proper mixing and flow during unloading. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and ensure the truck is in good working condition. Monitor and report on truck performance and condition, addressing minor maintenance issues as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including job details, delivery times, and any issues encountered during transportation. Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safe operation of the truck, and adhere to workplace safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and other team members. Assist in loading and unloading as necessary and ensure the safe handling of equipment and materials. Qualifications & Skills: Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck license with experience operating concrete trucks. A strong understanding of traffic regulations, safety protocols, and road laws. Previous experience driving concrete trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles is highly preferred. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, site managers, and other team members. Ability to perform truck maintenance and troubleshooting. Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks as required on site. Knowledge of concrete and construction site protocols is a plus. Additional Requirements: Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings, as needed. Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
