Hi for sale a classic W123 Australian Delivered Mercedes Benz Coupe 280CE, the car needs work, paint faded, assorted dents in panels, minor rust compared to most W123 Mercs I see of this age, sunroof has not worked for a few years, one rear kerb side window not working, no air cond, has water leaks into cabin, no water leaks from engine cooling system, ignition steering lock just replaced, couple of engine oil leaks, a bit of rust on underside of doors, boot no rust, engine bay no rust, floor panels good, A1 cond second hand steering wheel & front chrome bumper just fitted, driven daily past 20 years always on N.S.W standard registration, drivers MB Tex seat cover wear, rest of seats all good, an honest car that presents as expected for a car made in 1982 without any restoration, Radio does not work but supplied with original Becker FM radio/cassette player, 6 months rego, always serviced by top Sydney M.B Mechanic that completed his Apprenticeship working on W123 series M.B. I am told invest money into panel/mechanical repair and car will be an appreciating classic. Color combination of Royal French Blue body and cream MB Tex interior suit a high end prestige coupe that this Mercedes once was and will be again with the restoration it deserves. Parts are becoming harder to source but many Chinese aftermarket components have kept 280ce on the road reliably for past 20 years. I want an every day, modern reliable car, with better fuel consumption, (modern Jap car) because of age of car I am reluctant to drive 280CE out of Sydney and am not motivated to give car work it deserves.
