Offering Permanent Part-time – Monday to Friday hours - 30.4 hours We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Gardens, Grounds & Handyman to join our team at Windsor Country Village our well-maintained and picturesque facility. Reporting to the Village Manager, you will pay a key role in ensuring our gardens remain vibrant, welcoming and well-kept. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who can work autonomously, takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping outdoor areas and facilities in excellent condition. A day in the role will see you balancing gardening duties and lawn care, maintenance of facilities, undertake minor property work and importantly, contribute to a safe and pleasing environment for our retirement village residents, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities includes but limited to: Perform a range of ground maintenance tasks including lawn mowing both push and ride-on Lawn care including mowing, edging, trimming, hedging, and pruning of plants and trees General garden upkeep, presentation, planting, mulching, fertilising and seasonal garden and irrigation maintenance Rubbish and debris removal to maintain cleanliness and safety Undertake all general handyman jobs within Windsor Country Village including but not limited to basic plumbing & electrical, fences, doorways, driveways, pathways, irrigation, gutters etc Time management and job tracking of handyman works undertaken for residents including estimating, quoting, completing tasks within budget and supervising other ground staff. Checking lights, security lights, vacuuming, driveways, foyers, walkways, landings and all other areas of the village for cleanness and take appropriate action. Put out and away and hose out garbage bins, check drains, manage wood fire etc Maintain and ensure the safe working order of all equipment’s & tools Operate equipment & machinery safely and professionally, use appropriate PPE for each task Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work culture Respond appropriately to stakeholders direction and adapt to diverse work environments and tasks About You: Previous experience in grounds and general maintenance is highly regarded Strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude Able to work independently and as part of a friendly team Physically fit and capable of performing outdoor tasks in all weather conditions Good communication skills and a professional, positive approach Driver’s license is essential Willing to undertake a NSW Police Check If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in creating a tidy and welcoming environment, and want to be part of a team that values your contribution, we’d love to hear from you.
