KEY FACTS This Subaru Impreza WRX Classic is a highly original example of the Australian-market special edition of the all-wheel-drive performance hero. Under the bonnet sits a turbocharged 2.0-litre ‘EJ20’ flat-four engine, producing up to 160kW / 218hp, which sends power to all four wheels. It is understood to be one of just 250 examples of the WRX Classic sold in Australia. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES The WRX Classic is a rare Australian market variant, launched in February 1999 by Subaru Australia, which featured a beige leather interior, a leather and wood-trimmed steering wheel and colour coded door handles. The late model first-generation WRX features stiffer suspension and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine over the standard Impreza, among other upgrades. It rides on a set of 16-inch six-spoke alloys, which are shod in Brand new Bridgestone Turanza tyres. This car has been well preserved, with the engine, gearbox and all body panels understood to be original to the car.
