The Subaru WRX STI S206 is a limited-production model released exclusively for the Japanese market in 2011, with only 300 units produced. Built by Subaru Tecnica International (STI), the S206 was the most advanced iteration of the GRB-generation STI at the time. It features a hand-built 2.0-liter EJ20 turbocharged flat-four engine, producing 316 horsepower and 318 lb-ft of torque, with revised pistons, a ball-bearing twin-scroll turbocharger, and an optimized ECU. The chassis was refined with Bilstein dampers, STI-tuned springs, and a flexible front strut tower brace for improved handling. Lightweight 19-inch BBS wheels, Brembo brakes, and exclusive aerodynamic components complete the package. The S206 is a significant model in STI’s history, representing the technical peak of the GRB platform before the transition to the VA chassis.
