Grounded in a talent-centric mindset, Maker Lab is a marketing agency designed to build decentralised technology-led agency teams, rooted in collaboration with clients from the ground up. Maker Lab’s cross-functional teams of multidisciplinary specialists are embedded into client teams across digital marketing competencies — from measurement & analytics to content production. Social Media Specialist (6 months Fixed Term Contract) As a Social Media Specialist, you'll help drive our client’s social engagement strategy, connecting products and services to users through relevant touchpoints. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies, supporting Brand initiatives. With your finger on the pulse of internet culture and emerging content trends on platforms like TikTok, you'll connect them to our client’s brand. You'll work closely with country social leads and PR managers to build advocacy and brand love. By leveraging data-driven insights from social listening and content performance analytics, you'll inspire effective social efforts, from always-on content to KOL management and influencer activations. Your ability to manage projects and stakeholders, combined with creative thinking and a flair for curating engaging social content, is key to driving earned marketing results alongside local teams and agencies. Role: Manage key opinion leaders (KOLs) and creators across all brands, including comprehensive briefing, drafting content calendars, and deploying essential toolkits from brand teams to ensure seamless collaboration and execution. Track and analyse social content performance across platforms like TikTok, identifying emerging trends and actionable insights. Collaborate closely with the media team to amplify successful assets and optimise content reach. Work closely with Market PR teams to plan and execute high-impact PR events that generate significant buzz and talkability, extending brand narratives into wider public conversations. Oversee the management of social media pages, ensuring the strategic deployment of branded content that is fully aligned with overarching marketing objectives and brand guidelines. Provide social media expertise and generate innovative ideas for the market. Help implement engaging brand narratives into a wider integrated marketing plan, with a focus on trend-driven content curation. Analyse data into insights whilst building a narrative that will fuel social media campaigns and programmes as part of the broader country-specific marketing initiatives, particularly emphasising TikTok and other key social platform performance. Identify and escalate areas of concern and opportunities for the brand and pitch fresh, innovative ideas to drive engagement and community, leveraging a deep understanding of social trends. Partner with cross-functional teams on social strategy and execution to capture the brand’s presence and end-user engagement. Manage analytics, track audience growth, and generate campaign-specific metrics, focusing on content performance and audience engagement. Help build and manage strong relationships with influencers and micro-creators throughout various verticals to increase authentic advocacy and brand love, and facilitate content creation where appropriate. Collect and share insights and trends from social communities to improve future campaigns. You: A degree in business, commerce, or marketing is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required. 5+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or related industry; preferably both agency and in-house experience, managing social presence and strategy for global brands, ideally in the technology space. You’ve ideally held a Social Media Coordinator or similar role in the past, whilst working with external creative and social agencies. A strategic and creative thinker who can navigate around an always-on social landscape, with a proven ability to curate and develop trend-leading content. Prior experience supporting end-to-end social media projects from strategy to execution, including localised content creation and copywriting, community management, localised, tracking and reporting. Strong technical knowledge of social platforms, paid media, content strategy and community management, with specific expertise in TikTok and Meta performance. Experience with social media publishing tools like Sprinklr, Hootsuite or Sprout Social. Ability to bring order and attention to detail to complex stages of each project. Prior experience with communicating with local and geographically dispersed stakeholders to deliver clear instructions and messaging. Passionate about working as part of a larger team to deliver on a common goal, with a keen eye for emerging social trends and content opportunities. Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills to support projects across APAC.
