Join GKR Transport as an Experienced Forklift Driver - Welshpool. Are you an experienced Forklift Driver with linehaul and general freight experience? If so, GKR Transport wants you! We're seeking a reliable Forklift Driver to join our Welshpool team, Monday to Friday, providing job stability and excellent earning potential. Key Requirements: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy transport depot MUST HAVE specific experience with general freight and working with chains and binders (mandatory). MUST HAVE experience Loading and Unloading Linehaul trailers. Current Forklift License. Proficient in loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight on flatbed trailers and tautliners. Experience securing loads and using various restraint methods including straps, dog and chain and binders. Strong attention to detail, a “can do” attitude, and commitment to safety and customer service. Physically fit and willing to assist with manual lifting when needed. Must pass a pre-employment medical examination, police check, and provide recent work references. Responsibilities: Efficiently load and unload freight from linehaul trucks and local PUD, ensuring proper restraint and secure storage. Conduct checks on load restraints and packaging before transport. Report any damages to freight or equipment promptly.
