General Hand - Warehouse

We are a Warehouse and Logistics business based in Dandenong South. We are looking for someone to work approx 20 hours per week to work with our small team. The position involves sorting cartons into runs for the next days deliveries. Must have a smart phone and be able to work unsupervised in cool room. Monday to Thursday Hours are 3:00pm to 7:30pm approx. Potentially extra hours for the right person doing deliveries in our vehicles earlier in the day. ABN holder preferred.

What you will be responsible for: Delivering orders on a multi drop run Assessing the safety and suitability of a load before leaving site Ensuring load is restrained correctly before leaving base and every stop after that Identifying incorrect/non confirming items loaded Providing excellent customer service to our customers Requirements Standard hours: 6.30am to 2.36pm Minimum 2 years of HR driving experience Experience with securing loads with straps and chains to meet current load restraint regulations Previous steel industry experience (desired but not essential)   Please note, as health & safety is important to us, you will be asked to complete a pre-employment drug screen if you are to be successful. What you will be responsible for: Unloading trucks using an overhead crane Moving, opening, and relocating bulk coils with an overhead crane Operating a forklift when required Supporting other operational tasks as needed Requirements A valid crane licence with proven experience A valid forklift ticket with hands-on experience Solid understanding of health and safety practices A positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to work independently and take initiative Please note, as health & safety is important to us, you will be asked to complete a pre-employment medical and drug screen if you are to be successful.
