I’ve reluctantly made the decision to sell my Izzo Alex Duetto espresso machine. It’s just eight months old and still under the manufacturer’s new warranty until October 2025. Anyone who is interested in the machine needs to understand that it weighs about 32 kgs dry. This may not be a problem for a young and fit person and it’s the only reason that I’ve decided to sell it. The machine is just too heavy for me to move and looking ahead to the need to transport it from time to time for servicing, it will become a big problem for me. With only one coffee drinker in the household, the machine has had minimal use. It presents as a brand new machine with only light scuff marks on the drip tray consistent with normal use. Water for the machine has been supplied exclusively from a Brita C150 Finest filter system. The Izzo Alex Duetto IV Plus is a top of the range, PID controlled, dual boiler machine with a footprint smaller than many similar dual boiler machines. It has performed flawlessly in the short period I have owned it, producing coffee equal to (and better than some) commercial establishments. The main specifications are: Dual boiler PID control with shot timer 0.8 litre espresso boiler in stainless steel 1.8 litre steam boiler in stainless steel IMS shower screen, double and single baskets E61 group Stainless steel mushroom Rotary pump Steam boiler can be turned off independently of espresso boiler External adjustment of pump pressure Can be connected to mains water supply or operated from on-board tank Dimensions - W 360mm, D 430mm, H 430mm. All accessories that came with the machine are included, some of which have not been used. This includes multiple steam tips, original instruction manual, mains water connection and drainage hoses along with IMS double and single baskets. The original packing material is also available but my strong preference is that the machine be collected from the Sunshine Coast. Having said that, I may consider freight if the purchaser arranges and pays the courier company direct. I am happy to discuss sensible offers close to the asking price but please understand that I will not negotiate a price with anyone who has not first inspected the machine.
