Our Brush Box Standard Better Grade Decking is wider than most and it's thicker. Bigger is better because your square meter coverage costs are lower. We mill our own feed stock timber in our own sawmill to a thicker wider profile to supply our own dry mill with a bigger board so that we can machine our decking to a thicker wider profile. The result is a far superior product for outdoor use high load decks. Thicker means stronger and more durable. In fact, our boards are 15% to 25% larger by volume than most decking boards. Brush Box has beautiful grain and lends itself to a clear finish. We grow the Brush Box trees ourselves. BBX is very hard and it’s a good timber to work with. As you can see from the pics, it has a unique grain to it. We mill the Brush Box in our own sawmill just north of Brisbane. We dry it and machine it on site. Brush Box has always been a big seller and it doesn’t stay in stock very long after it’s been run. You are buying direct from grower. We’re now doing a range of heavy-duty wide-bodied floor joists in 60mm and 92mm wide. They’re allot better to butt join your decking to. Because they’re thicker, they won’t split like the 50mm ones always do
