Landscape Gardener Needed – Work Alongside a great Team!

We are a small business that specialises in quality garden installation, horticultural care and/ppmaintenance. /ppWe work on a variety of commercial and residential projects in the Cairns area./ppDue to business growth, we are looking for a dedicated, passionate, experienced and motivated/ppLandscape Gardener to join us in creating and maintaining Cairns’ beautiful landscapes./ppYour main responsibilities will include:/pp- preparing plans and drawings, choosing materials and plants, and scheduling landscape/ppconstruction;/pp- setting out and installing hardscape and softs cape structures;/pp-constructing gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues and/ppgarden furniture;/pp-preparing lawn areas by spreading topsoil and planting grass or laying turf;/pp-preparing seedbeds and growing sites;/pp- planting and propagating bedding plants;/pp-planting, transplanting, fertilizing, applying chemicals, watering, pruning and weeding trees,/ppbushes, hedges, flowers and bulbs;/pp- determining irrigation system needs;/pp- installing irrigation systems;/pp-testing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems;/pp-operating gardening equipment e.g. hedgers, trimmers, brush cutters, whipper snippers,/ppblowers, chainsaws, pole saws, wood chippers and ride on mowers;/pp- general garden maintenance including planting, mulching & weeding; and/pp- weed and pest control.br/ppTo be considered for this great role you will:/pp- Have at least 3 years experience in a similar role;/pp-Have the ability to work as part of a team;/pp-Have a proactive approach to your work;/pp- Have the ability to thrive in a busy and dynamic work environment & and the ability to provide/pppositive outcomes;/pp- Pride yourself on your reputation of being punctual and reliable, have good presentation/ppand communication skills and be able & willing to be a part of a strong, supportive team who/ppachieve business goals - together./p -Having an excavator license or a truck license is a big advantage.
