We are a Family Day Care service/scheme actively looking for dedicated, enthusiastic educators that would like to start their own family day care or for established FDC educators to join our Team! Mindful Learners Family Day Care is a family-owned Family Day Care Service that aspire to provide a highly supportive environment for educators to strive, hence providing a high-quality education and care to children. As an FDC Educator, you will be operating your own business! We operate across Melbourne. We are open 24/7 and offers educators the flexibility to choose their own operating hours. We are looking for Educators with: • Certificate 3 or a Diploma in Children’s Services/Early Childhood Education and Care or a Bachelor/Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education • Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis or willingness to obtain • Current Working With Children Check or VIT registration • Current Police Check and Food Safety Training or willingness to obtain or willingness to obtain • Be committed, enthusiastic, resilient and the ability to work independently • Be able to critically reflect on your practices, provide feedback to the service & seek support where needed. • A minimum of 1 year of experience working in LDC or FDC or relevant experience. • Be an advocate for inclusive practices and providing equitable opportunities to children. • Friendly personality & the ability to build warm & trusting relationships with children & families • Above all, a passion to work with children and to be the champion of every child What do we offer you? • A highly supportive leadership team that is only a phone call away to support you in your role as an educator and small business entrepreneur • Support in setting up your family day care, any legal requirements, your budgeting, cash flow and a tailored Induction Program • Leaders with a wealth of experience and knowledge in Early Childhood that will listen, support and coach you as per your individual needs • Professional Development and networking opportunities • A resource library that can help you get started • Support in having a bilingual program • Support in completing your Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. • A service that strives for quality practices and where children come first and profit last.
