According to local tenancy law, you are required to notify the apartment management at least 28 days (or as per the time limit specified in the apartment's rules/contract) before the end of the lease period whether you intend to terminate the lease and provide the exact move - out date. If you fail to respond within the stipulated time, you will be personally responsible for any resulting consequences.
