I recently a few months back asked for help to get a car for my kids and I. As I had to sell mine after leaving work due to medical reasons and had to pay for rent bills school stuff and all essentials we need in life. Unfortunately nothing lasts and I been trying to get back to work to save money to buy a car. Im regional Victoria and struggling heaps after leaving a domestic violence relationship. I had to start all over again. The peace and safety is all worth it but the struggle of starting again for my self and kids is hard. I just can't get a break. I just can't get ahead. We avoid public transport due to my ex working in it and having friends who work there too. We dont want to be found for our safety. So it's made it so much more harder for us. No, we can't move due to family court orders. He has to know the area/town but not allowed to know the address and I must be within 50km of his residence. When you think you have left a dv relationship it doesn't stop. We are continually on alert if we get seen or found. My son has several anxiety just having to walk to and from school. I feel helpless just seeing him wanting to get home as quick as possible. The other issue is we dont have a car to escape if we are found. Part of our program is how to safely and quickly leave if anything happens. Its another hurdle. I can keep going and going explaining my situation and needs and reason for my post. Im desperately asking for help. Desperately trying so hard. I've called everywhere posted everywhere and even tried a go fund me. I feel invisible. I feel embarrassed and hopeless. I have no support network. No family other than my kids. I just want to get back to work so we can be able to take a step forward and not keep going back and being stuck. Im so sorry if I sound too desperate, it's because I am. I really have been trying. If you are able to help us with a car, to borrow till I can get some money together to buy one or if you know someone please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know.
