I need someone who knows what they are doing, what to listen for and who can properly appraise what I am doing and what I need to do to improve it.\n\nThe type of music I try to do is probably best described as 60's rock/ pop. Sometimes it could lean toward folk, sometimes funk. Generally I use vst drums and organs, I either record guitars or use a sim etc. I do vocals, hand percussion, DI bass, sometimes a real piano among other things.\n\nI'd really like to learn how to properly record tracks in my space, how to properly use my ears with the monitoring gear I have to assess recorded tracks - if they are good, fair or unusable. I'd like to know where I am going wrong with my recordings and mixes and how to improve.\n\nI use Studio One 5.\n\nI simply do not know a soul in real life who has any skills in home studio recording and I'm doubtful an online tutor could really help.\n\nI'm 40+, male, easy going and just keen to learn as much as I can.\n\nIf you think you'd be interested feel free to contact and we can see how we go.
