We are seeking an experienced Orchard Manager to lead the management of a designated section of our expanding macadamia orchards in Maryborough, Queensland. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of macadamia orchard operations, a commitment to safety and precision, and demonstrated leadership capabilities. In this role, you will work closely with the Area Manager and Operations Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee day-to-day orchard activities, including operational, maintenance, and irrigation tasks. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for: Maximising yields through systematic planning, operational efficiency, optimising crop performance, completion of tasks and removal of constraints in conjunction with other roles. Assisting with the development and monthly review of operational budgets and capital expenditure optimising expenditure where possible and meeting forecasts. Overseeing farm maintenance and operational activities including but not limited to: Spraying Pruning, fertilising, slashing, and mulching Irrigation Harvesting Inspect for pests and implement management measures Farm maintenance and drainage, including continuous improvement of systems. Leading and developing workers, managing disciplinary and non-compliance issues as required. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment, leading repairs, and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.
