8And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement: Hebrews 9:27 (King James 1611 Version) Dear Friend, I should like to thank you for receiving this gospel message today. Please take a few moments to read the following information: your eternal soul depends on it. You have an appointment According to Hebrews 9:27, you have an unavoidable appointment, an Appointment with death. Most people spend little time thinking about death. yet it will happen to everyone. You cannot avoid, delay or defer the date of your death. You have a judgement Hebrews 9:27 says that after your death, you will face the judgement. How will you stand in that judgement? Will you be accepted or rejected by God? Before you answer that question, let's see what the Bible says. John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. Your judgement will not be based on what you think, how you feel or what you have achieved in your life. Your judgement will be based upon God’s word. What does the ‘Word of God’ say about you? 1. You are a sinner. Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” 2. Sin is the violation of God's Law. 1 John 3:4 “ Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 3. Your penalty for sin is death, i.e. separation from God forever. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death.” Revelation 21:8 “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerer, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.” You might want to argue with the above verses. Maybe you don't think you are such a bad person. “I am a good person," you may say. But Romans 3: 13 clearly articulates, “there is none that doeth good, no not one." “I'm living a righteous life," you may say. But Isaiah 64:6 says: "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags." In spite of all the bad news we have heard, there is yet one hope for our sinful souls. The Bible says: John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Luke 19:10 “For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” What a merciful God! Even though we are condemned because of our sins. God sent his Son Jesus Christ to die for us. When Lord Jesus was dying on the Cross, it was for our sins that he was dying. 1 Corinthians 15:3 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died You have a Decision We have shown you the bad news, your sin; and the good news is Lord Jesus Christ is the Saviour who/the? ONLY one to save us. The good news is only good if you choose to receive it. Although Lord Jesus Christ has offered salvation and forgiveness to you, you will be cast into hell (death/condemned) if you fail to make the right choice, which is Christ Jesus. John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” 1 John 5:11 “ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.” 1 John 5:12 “ He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” I John 1:9 “ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” What choice will you make?
