About the role Reporting to the Mining Supervisor - UG, the Longhole Operator is responsible for carrying out underground production drilling, ground support and other mining tasks as directed. The responsibilities include but are not limited to; Accurately drilling a series of Longholes to a design pattern using a mechanised drill. Reading and accurately following mine instruction plans with skill and precision ensuring holes are drilled to design line, gradient and profile. Setting up and troubleshooting on Longhole Drill rigs. Complete through pre-start inspections before using the equipment, ensuring all tools and equipment are serviceable and safe. Liaise with Shift Supervisor and the previous shift to obtain all the information necessary about the work areas. About the Role This is a dynamic and hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across both open pit and underground mining environments. As part of a skilled and supportive geology team, you will play a key role in ore extraction, grade control, and geological interpretation in a complex and geologically rich setting. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you will be responsible for a wide range of mine geology functions, including orebody delineation, face mapping, QAQC, and reconciliation activities.
