Meet the AU Product team Whilst LEAP's core platform is developed and maintained at our head office by LEAP Dev, each global region has a localised product and development team. This team work cross functionally on every part of a product life cycle to build Australia specific web applications. Working alongside experienced legal professionals, developers, designers, and client-focused operational experts, this is a team of self driven, solutions based problem solvers who thrive in an environment with a start-up feel. What you'll do You'll join a specialised team of Full Stack Developers to begin working on new web applications. You'll collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including product and client operations to translate ideas and concepts into functional web applications to be made available in LEAP Legal Software. With the support and infrastructure of our wider Engineering organisation (LEAP Dev), you'll have full responsibility over building these greenfield applications. The work you'll do initially will be 75% frontend and 25% backend. To make this happen, you will Research and develop emerging trends, standards, and practices for frontend development; Design, develop and manage backend APIs and services; Provide scalability to ensure the application can handle mass amounts of data and users; Implement secure customer authentication; Find ways to evolve and improve the way we develop, deploy and deliver software; Revise, update, refactor, and debug code; Test and deploy applications and systems; Use Git version control to manage codebase; What you'll bring 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer. Strong proficiency in frontend development using modern web technologies, such as React or Svelte. Expertise in at least one modern server-side programming language. Solid experience with database technologies. In-depth understanding of software development methodologies, software architecture, and best practices. Proficient in Test Driven Development (TDD) and applying automated testing best practices. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS and related tools. Exposure to the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, UX design, testing, CI/CD, and release planning. While you may not have experience with all of these areas, the more experience you bring, the better! Consider it a bonus if you have: Commercial experience with .NET. Experience with database design, RDS, and DynamoDB is a plus.
