Irrigation Technician
We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Irrigation Technician to join our Fitzroy Macadamias team. In this hands-on and technical role, you’ll support the design, implementation, and maintenance of irrigation and automation systems to ensure the efficient delivery of water across a growing macadamia orchard. Key Responsibilities: As a valued member of the team and reporting to Irrigation Manager, you will: Collaborate with development and operational teams on irrigation design, installation, and automation projects Maintain irrigation infrastructure including pumps, filtration systems, motors, and delivery networks Assist in the supervision, training, and development of irrigation staff and contractors Conduct system reviews, ensure quality assurance, and maintain accurate records Support the implementation of irrigation programs that enhance tree health, yield, and efficiency Contribute to continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and environmental outcomes Requirements To be successful for this position, you will have: A current driver’s licence Relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications in irrigation or related fields (CAD qualifications highly regarded) Proven experience with irrigation systems, automation, surveying, and design Strong technical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail Advanced computer literacy and experience using CAD software preferred Team-oriented, ethical, and proactive with strong interpersonal and communication skills Benefits On offer for the successful candidate is:  A competitive above Award rate, dependent on experience and qualifications Job security with a full-time, permanent role Training and support to help you grow Life insurance and salary continuance cover (subject to insurer eligibility conditions) Annual discretionary bonus Free and confidential Employee Assistance Program How to Apply: To be considered for this position, please submit a covering letter addressing the requirements and key responsibilities, and your resume by 22 August 2025.
