Trade Assistant

We’re looking for a hands-on person to help our maintenance team with farm equipment and machinery maintenance. You’ll assist with repairs, servicing, fabrication and general workshop duties over our two orchard locations. This is a great opportunity to learn on the job and grow your skills within our supportive maintenance team. Key Responsibilities: As a valued member of the team and reporting to Maintenance Manager, you will: Help maintain and repair farm equipment and machinery Support tradespeople with welding, fabrication, and mechanical work Assist in setting up and installing new machines or tools Keep the workshop tidy, clean, and safe Follow safety rules and report any problem Work as part of a team and help where needed Requirements To be successful for this position, you will have: Willingness to learn and work hard A current driver’s licence Forklift, loader, or other machinery tickets (preferred but not essential) Previous experience on a farm or workshop is helpful but not required Good attitude, attention to detail, and able to follow instructions Safety-focused and respectful team player Benefits On offer for the successful candidate is a competitive above Award rate, dependant on experience and qualifications.
