EnerMech is looking for a dedicated Alcoa Project Technician to join our team. This role will play a critical part in supporting our operations on the Alcoa project, ensuring that we meet client expectations and project milestones efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with project management and site teams to execute project tasks effectively. Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery. Conduct regular inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Heat exchanger repairs and overhauls. Basic pipefitting and flange management. Participate in safety audits and risk assessments. Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding project progress and any potential issues. This position is based on-site at Alcoa facilities, offering a dynamic work environment and the opportunity to contribute significantly to project outcomes. Requirements The ideal candidate will possess: Relevant trade qualification or experience in a mechanical or technical discipline. Experience in the mining or heavy industrial sectors is preferred. Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in using technical tools and equipment related to the project. Current certifications such as First Aid, Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry (valid within 2 years) are advantageous. Knowledge of heat exchanger servicing and repairs. MSMSS00017 - Use High Pressure Water Jetting Equipment or MSMSS00018 - Operate a High-Pressure Water Jetting System (desirable). BASIC Rigging (desirable). HR Truck license (desirable). Knowledge of bolting/unbolting and flange management (desirable).
