We are seeking highly skilled and passionate Anaesthetists to join a major public hospital in Southern Tasmania. Position Highlights: Permanent or Fixed-Term role available (full-time or part-time). Base salary ranges from $216,300 to $296,640 per annum, with additional allowances and benefits. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical anaesthesia services of the highest standard to a diverse range of patients, including trauma, paediatric, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgery. Actively participate in clinical support roles to improve performance and patient outcomes. Engage in teaching, research, and quality assurance within the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine. Contribute to multi-centre research trials and collaborate with the University of Tasmania and Menzies Research Centre. Specialist Areas of Interest: General Anaesthesia: Provide comprehensive services across various specialities. Cardiac Anaesthesia: Candidates with recent fellowship or consultant practice in cardiac anaesthesia will be highly regarded. Paediatric Anaesthesia: Applicants with experience in a tertiary paediatric centre are encouraged to apply. Essential Requirements: Specialist medical registration or recognised overseas specialist qualification. Experience in anaesthesia, particularly in obstetrics, neurosurgery, or paediatrics, within the last 2 years. Recent clinical exposure at a tertiary hospital standard. Desirable Qualifications: Fellowship with ANZCA (or equivalent) preferred for general anaesthesia. Expertise in trans-oesophageal echocardiography (for cardiac anaesthesia).
