Consultant Psychiatrist – Forensic Mental Health Location: Alice Springs and Darwin , NT Salary Package: Up to $347,549 (inclusive of allowances) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a Mental Health, Alcohol, and Other Drugs team in the Central Australia region. This role offers a rare opportunity to work across both forensic and community mental health settings in one of the most unique and culturally rich parts of Australia. This position is ideal for a specialist who is passionate about making a difference in remote and Indigenous health while contributing to teaching and training programs for medical students and psychiatry registrars. This position comes with an attractive remuneration package and benefits, including: Specialist Clinician: $248,765 - $304,012 Senior Specialist Clinician: $314,354 - $347,549 Additional allowances: Professional Training Allowance: $21,603 - $27,967 Second Roster Allowance: $41,433 Private Practice Allowance: $103,538 - $145,005 Salary packaging benefits: $9,010 6 weeks annual leave + 2 weeks professional development leave Superannuation and leave loading Relocation and repatriation reimbursement About the Location Alice Springs is a vibrant community surrounded by stunning desert landscapes and national parks.
