Job Title: Emergency Medicine - Staff Specialist or Senior Medical Officer Remuneration: Up to $587,432 p.a. Position Type: Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-Time We are seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Specialist to join a fast-paced emergency department in a renowned regional hospital. This facility is a 200+ bed hospital offering a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including acute and critical care, surgical services, intensive care, maternity, and rehabilitation. The emergency department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and provides high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a vibrant and growing community. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse range of cases, including 25% paediatrics and a significant trauma caseload. Provide expert clinical services within the Clinical Services Capability Framework and clinical privileges granted. Assist satellite hospitals and rural sites through Telehealth and in-person support. Contribute to innovative pre-hospital care models, including HITH and GEDI programs. Engage in the development of a new Emergency Department. Enjoy flexible and equitable rostering that balances service needs with academic priorities. Potential involvement in the Regional Aeromedical Retrieval Service. Participate in a successful postgraduate education and training program, including ACEM fellowship and diploma training. Provide clinical supervision and training for junior medical staff, medical students, and other health professionals.
