About the role We are seeking applications from qualified primary teachers who are enthusiastic, have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to Christian schooling. Successful candidates will join a highly competent and supportive primary teaching team. This full-time position will commence in January 2026. Requirements About You Be able to display the capacity to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes. Be able to receive feedback on your teaching and implement changes. Be supportive of an explicit instruction approach to teaching, based in a knowledge-rich curriculum.  Be able to effectively plan for, collect and analyse educational data, then devise appropriate strategies and interventions to improve student outcomes.  Be able to demonstrate excellent teaching as described by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Have an active Christian faith, suitable tertiary qualifications and NESA accreditation (or be eligible). Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check. Hi, I’m Barbod, a medical student (MD1) with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Band 6 in HSC Biology. I’ve spent the past 5 years translating complex biology concepts into clear explanations for patients, peers, and younger students. That blend of clinical perspective, research literacy, and top-band high-school success means I know how to learn and how to teach you how to learn. Let’s get one thing straight… my goal isn’t to just teach you more. You already have you highschool teacher for that and to be frank, teachers don’t have a universal teaching style that helps everyone. My goal is to equip you with the skills that help you learn more effectively and eventually have you be self sufficient for future learning. Finally, I will help you reverse-engineer past HSC marking guidelines so you learn structuring cues and keywords that examiners reward. I will get you to practise under timed, exam-style conditions; afterwards we annotate your response together. If you’re tired of “learn it once, hope it sticks,” let’s build a study system that keeps paying dividends, through the HSC, into uni, and straight onto the wards.
