Operating in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane, we are a growing Contract Manufacturing Company with the latest technology and equipment to ensure the manufacture of high-quality Pharmaceutical and Healthcare products. We are looking to hire 2 x Blending Operators for our fast-paced production Blending Rooms. Blending Operator Role Purpose The purpose of a Blending Operator is to blend a range of raw materials to create a homogenous mixture, according to set recipes and health and safety regulations. Blending Operators are responsible for accurately measuring and adding the appropriate ingredients to the mixture, monitoring the process and keeping accurate records of their work. They must also ensure that all equipment is clean and functioning correctly, and that safety protocols are always adhered to. Blending Operator Role A Blending Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the blending process of raw materials to create finished products. They must ensure that the correct proportions and quality of materials are used and that the process is carried out safely and efficiently. This role will be responsible for mixing batches based on formulations in accordance with quality standards. This will include: Prepare equipment in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and relevant SOP’s (Standard Operating Systems) Carry out production as per the Job Sheet to accurately weigh and mix raw materials according to formulas. Comply with all general safety directions for the workplace and those prescribed on the Job Sheets. Ensure all raw materials are handled and stored in accordance with quality guidelines. Operate and monitor mixing equipment, ensuring safety and consistent product quality. Blending Operator Requirements To be successful in this role you will need the following characteristics and capabilities: Previous experience in a similar Cosmetics/Pharmaceutical/Food/FMCG environment - desirable but not essential Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures accurately Ability to wear PPE Gear - GMP outer garments or Laboratory coat, gloves, safety glasses, full face respirator mask, hair/beard net and shoe covers. Sound mechanical aptitude and English writing skills Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Good level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive physical tasks e.g. stand, bend, reach, push and pull Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 20kg in packaging materials regularly. Ability to work with a variety of ingredients and tools A positive and engaging attitude. Must not have severe allergies to plant materials.
