Position: Intensive Care Registrar – Coastal Regional Hospital We are seeking a passionate and skilled Intensive Care Registrar to join a close-knit, high-performing ICU team at a modern regional hospital located on the stunning North Coast of New South Wales. About the Hospital: This well-established, regional referral hospital is a key healthcare provider in the Northern NSW. It services a catchment area of over 55,000 residents and offers a broad range of acute care services. The Intensive Care Unit is a Level 3 ICU with 7 beds, providing a mix of high-dependency and intensive care services, including ventilatory support, invasive monitoring, and critical care outreach. You will be working in a hospital known for its strong collegial culture, hands-on learning, and genuine commitment to patient-centred care. The facility is well-equipped and integrates closely with emergency and surgical services, offering a robust experience in critical care medicine. What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients under the supervision of senior intensivists Participating in ICU ward rounds, procedures, and multidisciplinary meetings Responding to MET calls and assisting with acute patient management hospital-wide Supporting and mentoring junior medical staff Participating in audit, education, and quality improvement activities What We’re Looking For: Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration Minimum 3 years post-graduate experience, including recent exposure to acute care or ICU Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Why This Role?
