Requirements Role: Scrum Master Location: Sydney Key responsibilities of this newly created role include: Lead the scrum team as a servant leader. Craft a servant leadership style to be an example for all employees and aspiring leaders. Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Guiding the team on how to get the most out of self-organization. Develop with the team a sustainable pace of continuous improvement. Help the team articulate, radiate, and actively remove impediments. Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on problem-solving. Create a positive team environment that empowers the team through the facilitation of discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution. Protects the team from both internal and external factors that may impact the team’s performance. Actively working to develop new ways of communication, information radiation, and transparency for the team and their stakeholders. Partner with the Product Owner to ensure a strong vision, backlog development and cadence. Facilitate Agile ceremonies (incl. sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives), ensuring that activities are time-boxed and artefacts are visible to the team (through visualization techniques and/or tools). Radiate sprint team metrics that help the team see how they are doing. Work with other stakeholders to validate and align dependencies Working closely with the Agile coach to grow the team (if applicable). Understand other processes and methodologies other than Agile and can speak intelligently about them and leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise. Understand fundamentals of software development processes and procedures. Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team. Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics. Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition. Familiarity with common Agile practices and enhanced development practices. About the Role As a Team Lead within Datacom’s Cybersecurity division, you will be responsible for leading and guiding a team of skilled offensive security professionals. You will play an instrumental role in developing innovative service offerings, helping organisations secure their critical applications and systems, and executing advanced breach and attack simulations to identify vulnerabilities before malicious adversaries can exploit them. Your focus will encompass leadership, operational efficiency, planning, and delivery of offensive security services, including application security testing, red team engagements, penetration testing projects, and scenario-based attack simulations. This role is perfect for an individual deeply rooted in offensive security with a passion for uncovering weaknesses, devising solutions, and advocating for secure development practices. You will have the opportunity to shape strategy, build technical capabilities, and lead your team in confronting real-world security challenges while driving customer success. What You’ll Do Take initiative in mentoring, coaching, and developing a team of offensive security professionals, building their expertise in red teaming, penetration testing, and breach simulation practices. Actively engage with customers, demonstrating a hands-on approach to offensive security engagements, and providing expert advice on bolstering application and system defenses. Lead the delivery of Datacom’s offensive security offerings, including advanced red teaming exercises, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and threat simulation services. Collaborate across teams to promote innovation, improve service delivery, and align offensive security practices with evolving customer needs and market demands. Foster relationships with technology vendors to expand and strengthen offensive security capabilities and tools. Manage team resources, workload allocation, priority setting, and pipeline planning to maintain operational efficiency and ensure client satisfaction. What You’ll Bring A strong technical background in offensive security disciplines, including practical experience in red teaming, penetration testing, and application security. Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and tools such as OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, or similar methodologies. Hands-on expertise in breach and attack simulations, vulnerability discovery, and secure coding practices. At least 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, with a minimum of 5+ years dedicated to offensive security or application security engagements. Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CRTO, CREST certifications, or similar qualifications to showcase your technical acumen. Requirements Demonstrated Team Lead/Supervisor experience within a fast-paced ICT service delivery function. Experience in the use of ServiceNow especially knowledgeable with Incident, Request, Critical Incident, Change, Problem. Certification in ITIL 4 Foundations. Ability to understand current technologies from a support, training, and escalation perspective. Accountabilities Your part in the ongoing success of this team, will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to: Lead and manage the development of the team by providing guidance and advice relating to service catalogues and service desk activities, to ensure prompt and effective delivery of services to clients and key stakeholders. Oversee ServiceNow ticketing system and ensure the effective management of the incident management and request fulfilment processes. Coordinate administrative and technical workloads for the service desk team, including communicating and enforcing procedures, coordinating training, and providing feedback on quality assurance and customer satisfaction. Monitor and report against the Service Desk queue and act as an escalation point for high priority incidents, to ensure the appropriate technical resource is assigned and issue/s resolve in a timely manner. Review and ensure the effective management and continuous improvement of the Service Centre through the application of best practice procedures, governance, and compliance activities. Manage Tier 1 technical support team in resolving queries via telephone, remote desktop tools or face to face to effectively coordinate resources, releases, and operational support activities and/or escalate major incidents, problem changes in adherence to service management principles. Oversee and maintain quality control and assurance activities to ensure that work instructions for the documentation (routine and non-routine) ICT processes and standards are current and align with departmental policies and regulatory requirements. Manage and maintain skills and knowledge of the team, through fostering teamwork and assisting with human resource management activities, including staff performance and development, training, and review.
