Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and capable welder to join our rural fencing contract team located near Talwood, Southern QLD. The ideal candidate should be energetic, physically fit, and skilled, with an eye for detail. The role requires proficiency in welding using stick and MIG, as well as the ability to lift heavy posts and picket drivers. Pay is negotiable based on experience. Applicants must have neat and tidy habits. The work schedule is usually Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weekends off. Refurbished single-person accommodation is provided our 11,000-acre property. Additional work is available on the farm when not fencing. Telstra mobile service and free internet are included. Responsibilities include driving steel pickets, straining fencing wires, tying off, constructing assemblies and steel yard building. Most of the work involves daily commutes, with only 3-4 weeks per year time away from home. The work area covers Talwood Mungindi, Goondiwindi, and Thallon regions. Two job references are required.
