POINT COOK CUBAN SALSA & BACHATA DANCE CLASSES - CLASSES ARE ON EVERY MONDAY (except on Public Holidays) ================================ * NO BOOKING OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED - YOU CAN SIMPLY COME IN ON THE NIGHT. * No experience necessary - No partner required - Open to all adult ages at: POINT COOK COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTRE 1-21 Cheetham Street Point Cook * Same building as the Point Cook Library Building * We are in Main Room 1 - opposite the Reception Desk as you walk in. MONDAY PROGRAM 2025: ** 6.30PM - BACHATA - Absolute Beginner to Improver Level - No partner or dance experience required 7.30PM - SALSA BEGINNER CLASS (1st part- Introduction session)) Session 1 - INTRODUCTION TO SALSA BASICS - Here the main Salsa Basics are broken down step by step for easy to follow learning to give you a better understanding of the basics before starting the main salsa beginner lesson at 8pm. - All New absolute beginners must attend this 7.30PM Introduction to Basics session before starting the main 8.00PM class 8.00PM - 9.00PM CUBAN SALSA BEGINNER (Main class) * At this point - we expect all students to know their basics - Total Beginner Cuban Salsa Lesson time: 1 hour & 30 minutes 9.00PM - 10.00PM CUBAN SALSA INTERMEDIATE (Main class) (Cuban salsa / Rueda De Casino) * Please arrive 10 minutes earlier for registration. * NORMAL COST: $20 for any main class Extra class: $10 per class * ALL CLASSES on the night - $35 Dance Card Holders: - For an extra class cost - $10 per class or all classes $15 * Payment - CASH recommended as there are no surcharges - Eftpos: We only accept Visa or Mastercard. * Please note: There is a 1.9% surcharge on every credit card transaction. * We do not accept Amex and Diners cards DISCOUNT DANCE CARDS: If attending regularly, this is a great way to save and also available for giving as a birthday present or as special gift. These cards will help save you some money. Pre-buy 5 x Dance classes for $90 ($10 saving). - Dance cards are valid for 3 months, giving you ample time to use up all lessons - Dance cards are not transferable - Dance cards cannot be combined with any other promotion, unless stated - Please keep you card in a safe place, as it is difficult for us to monitor how many lessons have been used over time. Replacement cards cost $15. CENTRE PROTOCOLS: * If feeling unwell or have any flu like symptoms, please do not attend any classes * If you are a close contact, as a precautionary measure, we ask you not to attend any classes until after 7 days of negative results * We recommend sanitizing hands frequently WHAT TO WEAR * Best shoes – low or flat shoes with smooth sole shoes, such as leather sole shoes * Avoid runners or sneakers as these are made to grip the floor and can impede your movement and turns * Avoid open toe shoes, slippers & sandals to avoid injury * Ladies – avoid high heels when starting * Clothing – comfortable, casual clothing is fine MEDICAL CONDITIONS Please consult your doctor before taking salsa classes if you have breathing problems, heart conditions, knee, back or shoulder injuries or are taking prescribed medication that may effect your health PRIVATE LESSONS We provide private lessons at our studio set-up in Werribee, on a one-to-one basis with or without a dance partner and available for private group bookings.
