Living within the Inner Gippsland DE area, you have a background in Inclusive Education and a minimum of 5 years of experience working with children with additional needs, their families, and their school. You will be part of a team of experienced student focused professionals (Disability Inclusion Facilitators) who will visit schools to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings. We are passionate about ensuring the quality of our work and the wellbeing of our team. In addition to facilitating the profile meetings, you will be supported to participate in extensive training and development activities, including:  Regular shadowing provided by your Team Leader and other Facilitators. Extensive initial training as well as ongoing training and development opportunities. Regular ‘quality improvement days’. Continuing professional support and guidance from your Team Leader. Comprehensive training and support in the conduct of Disability Inclusion Profiles will be provided. Your home will be your base and you will visit schools to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings. In addition to providing leave for the school holiday period, we are keen to discuss opportunities for a work structure that suits you and your family, including the option to work full time or 4 days/0.8 FTE. On offer Excellent remuneration: $108,201 salary + 12% superannuation (FTE). Permanent, ongoing role. Flexible working arrangements, school visits balanced with working from home. Work time to be aligned with Victorian school terms i.e., work during school terms and not work during school holidays. Extensive training provided in the use of the new strengths-based tool. Ongoing training and support. About You Qualifications as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist/Therapist or Psychologist. Current AHPRA/SPA registration. 5+ years of experience working in/with schools. Extensive knowledge of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may experience. Strong understanding of the principles of inclusion in education. Understanding of a strengths-based approach. Experience in group facilitation. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent attention to detail combined with an ability to work under pressure. Ability to write concise and accurate reports. Excellent time management skills. Intermediate computer skills. Valid Australian driver licence and reliable own car – required for travel. About the Role: As part of our Outcomes team in Gippsland, you will lead the team delivering support in one of our shared homes in Morwell. You will work alongside people we support, their families/guardians and other Melba employees to ensure the delivery of quality support at all times. In addition, you will be supported and coached by our Practice Quality and Safeguards team, who are experts in Zero Tolerance, human rights-based Positive Behaviour Support, and a person-centred approach. This is a Supported Independent Living house caring for 3 individuals requiring different levels of support. Operating under a sleepover model on a monthly rotating roster, this home requires tailored support, including epilepsy management, behaviour support and medication administration. Responsibilities: Supervise the operations of the Supported Independent Living service with regular reporting to the Operations Manager Manage all aspects of team performance including rosters, performance management, records management, quality, and compliance Lead and plan support for people with disabilities within their home and community, based on the goals of individual support plans Support initiatives that allow for individual choice, control and independence within their shared home environment Advocate within the broader community for inclusion, participation, and respect for rights for supported people Convey information to people we support and their families to help meet daily needs and plan support for future requirements Administer medication treatments, therapies or seek assistance according to protocols Qualifications and Experience: Must hold a Certificate 4 in Disability or equivalent qualification. An Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or Equivalent qualification (highly advantageous). Experience and knowledge in the field of disability and ability to apply policies and processes. Specialised and contemporary understanding of disability and an ability to apply this theoretical knowledge to client support.
